Final Home Football Game and Senior Night

October 30, 2009 - Marshfield HIgh
The Marching Band decided to have a little fun with the “Season” at Marshfield High School’s final home football game. It was October 30th after all and what better time to enjoy the festivities. The entire band

came in costume. We had ghosts, farmers, Red Sox players, pirates, ninja’s, Thing 1 and Thing 2, James Bond, Michael Jackson and a few very creative outfits that I’m still not quite sure “who” they were. Even Mr. Kaminski and Mr. Brenner got into the action, looking “fine” in their attire. (You have to see the
pictures to believe).
Traditionally, this is also the night that the seniors are honored for their 4 years of dedication to the band. Each senior gets a corsage pinned on prior to going out on the field. Then during half time, each senior’s name is called out and the student steps forward to be acknowledged. It’s a bittersweet moment for many of the parents of these students as well. After all, we’ve been through it all with them – in the bitter cold, the pouring rain, the biting wind. But then there are those beautiful, balmy nights, just like that October 30th night was and there’s absolutely no other place in the world we’d rather be than under those Friday night lights.
It was a great night and a great season. You rock Marching Band. Go Rams!
