Marshfield High School Jazz Ensemble at Berklee Jazz Festival

The MHS jazz band placed in the top third of their division and Victoria Medeiros received the Judge's Choice award for outstanding soloist at the Berklee College of Music High School Jazz Festival on February 9th.
The jazz band started their day with a successful early Saturday morning performance at the Hynes Convention Center that was well attended and the performers very much appreciated the support of the many friends and family members that made the trip to Boston. For the remainder of the day, students had the opportunity to critique many different high school jazz ensembles, take part in jam sessions, attend a clinic on their instrument, or listen to Berklee College of Music student and faculty ensembles. Thanks to all of the chaperones and students for a very rewarding day that was both educational and fun!
The Marshfield High School Jazz Ensemble has participated in the Berklee Jazz Festival for the past several years. This competition features high school jazz ensembles from across the nation.
